Plastic..yes but,
It's very plastic but it sounds very tinny. I thought it was just a headphone issue as they are not very good, so I connected my good headphones and the sound hasn't improved. Because the sound is so bad I will not be using them for converting anything to digital format. Intact I will probably give them away to charity shop. I've realised if you want top quality then you need to spend top dollar. These are worth the money I paid!! So I'm not that concerned about the loss. It's like the moon landing in 1969 the USA had it sorted ..nothing since then . Same with cassettes back in the 70s and 80s brilliant. Then we lost that great knowledge. 😄

    I a walkman with a reverse play function in order to listen to some meditation tapes. After doing some research , I decided on the Reshow walkman and I was not disappointed. It is of simple yet excellent build quality, and works equally well with the provided cable or with batteries (though I prefer the cable). The reverse play function, which was most important for me, works perfectly. It is very lightweigh, so easy and comfortable to carry with you in your pocket, even when jogging. Finally the customer service from Reshow is very good indeed. Quick clear communication and very helpful. If you're looking for a good value walkman, I highly recommend this excellent one from Reshow.

    This works ok as a personal cassette player. However, the rewind button popped off on first use and the usb connection does not work. It keeps disconnecting so have not been able to use this to convert a tape to mp3 and I’ve tried a couple of cables and with a couple of different computers. Also it would not connect with audacity. All in all a waste of money, I’m guessing my player is faulty but I bought it a while ago before I used it for the first time so don’t think I can return it.

    I've owned one before (not this make) but it did the job - basic tape to digital transfer. Unfortunately, the volume button developed a fault so a replacement was required. This seemed identical with the usb computer connection being a 'must have', so I bought it. I hadn't worked with the downloadable software before, so that took some time to manage, but the manual is comprehensive although it took several attempts to locate the right pages.
    A distinct disadvantage is splitting and naming the tracks which can be somewhat time consuming, but if you have time, no problem . The software capabilities are extensive.

    The first thing I thought when I opened the box was that this must he a child's toy, and a poorly made one at that. It was unbelievably flimsy and the buttons didn't fit too well. When I tried to play a tape, it would only play about 2 inches, then reverse- back and forth, back and forth and back and forth on the same 2 inches. I pushed the DIR button which wouldn’t stay down, and it played in one direction and the sound wasn't worth listening to. Thank you Amazon for letting me return it.
