Simply roll the cutting wheel over the tile with little pressure, press it down, and it is done.

The main wheel holder is made from forged steel, zinc plated.
Built up with 30 bearings to assure perfect sliding and top precision.
Eight adjustable bolts for calibrating the cutting wheel and stablize sliding part.
Self lubricating system for long lasting

Factory Damaged. Quality control poor!
Seems like ok value for money. But be aware. My unit arrived with a missing nut and more significantly, mechanical damage on the main cutting rail that the carriage runs along. as bearing blocks are adjusted, the raised metal "dink" prevents the carriage from running along the rail, making it impossible to cut a tile. This is Fixable, with a Dremmel and a grinding stone, ( which is what I will do as I need the cutter) but likely more than many would be willing or able to do. June 2022 - Update. After making the repair mentioned above, has now been used for 2 tile projects. The Laser is a bit gimmicky. Don't bother. The carriage takes a bit of adjustment to get the alignment and pressure just right, but should now be ok for lots of use before tweaking again QAand the manual is not great at helping those that are mechanically challenged. That said, the cutter itself works well - I have made quality Cuts on Very Large 650mm x 10mm tiles with no problems - very pleased I purchased it and have updated the review to 4 stars.

    After reading all the reviews on this tile cutter I decided to purchase this one . It is quite heavy but absolutely solid. One review stated with video that the stop bar didn't line up with the support legs. Very easy mistake to make . Just swap the front and back supports around and everything fits perfectly. I used this to tile a bathroom with 600 × 400 ceramic tiles floor and walls. I used one damaged tile to set it up with the laser and to make sure it was running true. Worked like a dream. Not one tile damaged after nearly 100 cuts. The thinnest I managed to cut off the length of a tile was 18 mm. Make sure to keep the base clear of any small chips of tile and you should have no problems. Only score once and keep pressure on the back of the tile with your hand when pressing the bar down. Perfect cut each time.
