Product description

Featuring a USB output, the Audio Technica AT-LP60XUSB not only makes a quality player but also a great deck from which to archive your vinyl to computer. Famous Audio Technica sound quality World famous for their illustrious heritage in vinyl replay, there are few brands with more budget record deck kudos than Audio Technica. With improved tracking and reduced resonance, the AT-LP60XUSB sounds better than ever. As you’d expect, this flexible deck also comes fitted with a quality Audio Technica cartridge that majors on accurate and detailed sound. Built-in phono pre-amp for universal connection With a phono pre-amp built-in, the AT-LP60XUSB connects to almost any Hi-Fi or speaker system. The phono pre-amp boosts the signal to line level, meaning you can connect it to any device with an AUX input. If your amp or speaker only has a 3. 5mm AUX input socket, the supplied convertor has that covered, too. If you’d rather use your amp’s phono pre-amp, then simply switch off the one in the turntable. Archive your records to PC or Mac via USB With its USB output, hooking the Audio Technica LP60XUSB to your PC or Mac is easy. Connect the deck to your PC or Mac, use the supplied Audacity software and you can record all your vinyl to MP3. From here, the choice is yours. Load them on to your MP3 player or NAS drive, record on to CD or just have the vinyl archived on your computer - whatever your choice, your LPs are now more accessible than ever before. Fully automatic for ease of use Another great feature with this deck is its fully automatic playback. This means it not only stops the turntable at the end of the record but also sets it to play and returns the arm at the end of the record. Simply select the disc size – 12” or 7” – and you’re good to go. Play and archive your records with ease, using the Audio Technica AT-LP60XUSB as the quality hub.

We were on the lookout for a decent but affordable record player to also rip vinyl to digital formats. I'm big into audio and tech and I was a bit worried that the sound captured sound might feel a bit thin or tinny but it couldn't be farther from it. The digital rips are really solid. To the average listener, it'll basically be like listening to a CD. There's little to no vinyl noise captured either which is pretty crazy. If you want a lower cost product that can rip vinyls for you then this is ideal and you won't be disappointed. The only slight downside is the method in which it captures the audio is done via Audacity (which is good free software) but you have to record the whole side and then if you'll need to manually edit each track and bounce them individually which is a bit of extra work and might be a bit much for some users. Still, it doesn't take away from just how well the player rips the audio compared to some of the other high quality options which are literally double the price. As a record player playing straight through a set of speakers it's also very strong, nice rich sound with plenty of low end without being overpowering and articulate mids and highs. It really doesn't get much better at this price and you'd have to be into real audiophile territory to really feel like the sound was lacking at all. You don't get features like track skipping but you can always do it manually and that's part of the fun with the vinyl experience anyway. I can see why this player was sold out on the manufacturer's website and various other outlets at the time of purchase because it's a brilliant product at the price.

If you're looking so a turntable to slot into an existing speaker setup then this is basically ideal.

The cartridge is very cromulent for under £200 and honestly you won't find better in this price range. If you're a hobbyist audiophile then you may find a lack of things to tinker with, but for everyone else this is a fantastic bit of kit and it works out of the box.

The internal amp doesn't hum at all but if you already have a pre-amp you're partial to then you can turn off the internal pre-amp. The automatic start/stop is flawless and the controls are literally as simple as possible with a start button, a stop button and a stylus lift button for selecting individual tracks. I've seen some reviews concerned with the plastic construction, but the platter is metal and weighted well so having the body made of plastic isn't a real concern - it's what allows the price to be what it is!

      Great device, no complaints.

Great sound, good quality MM cartridge and fully automatic too. this unit also outputs to a computer via USB so you can digitise your precious vinyl too. It has the advantage over most budget turntables that it very compact being barely bigger than a 12" disc.

Purchased to replace a very old NAD 5120 turntable which didn't have a pre-amplifier and hence wouldn't connect to my new NAIM Mu-So2.

Excellent for the price, fully automatic, well packaged and simple to setup and get going.

      Would recommend.

I bought this as a replacement for one of those suitcase record players (which was terrible, by the way, never buy one of them). For the price, my expectations were modest, however, I have been very pleasantly surprised. I never normally write reviews for products unprompted, but I was moved to for this. I love that it has automatic stop/start and damped arm lowering, the sound quality is very good, the build quality is very good. For the price you can't beat it. Just be aware there are actually three variants of this product - one with analogue out only, one with analogue+USB, and one with analogue+Bluetooth - just make sure you get the right one for you.

This is a huge step up from my suitcase style turntable that reignited my interest in vinyl. Great fidelity, simple to use and automated so no damage to record or player at the end of a side. I’ve found the USB feature really good: used with Audacity I can record some of the unique records I have and share them plus being able to record my parents (and grandparents) 45s is a great thing to do. Is it audiophile quality? No. Is it great build quality? No. But it is solid and will tide me over whilst I build a better, bigger setup! Finally, the built in preamp is a fantastic feature meaning you can jack it into anything that will take a aux input.

this is an incredible turntable. the sound is perfect, it looks great, the buttons and switches are so satisfying to press. for the past few years ive been stuck with an Akai record player, I always knew It was a dismal player but I never appreciated how dismal until now. my records sound...good! its a little on the pricey side but well worth it, as it'll most likely last me my life. a few things of note however before you purchase it... there is no 10" setting, only 12 and 7". not that big of a deal as it still works fine, it just loses the automatic capabilities, so if your collection consists of mainly non- 12 or 7" records id consider another turntable. also - and this one might be the dealbreaker for some, the player doesn't support any rpm other than 45 or 33.this won't effect 95% of people as nearly if not all modern records play at 33or 45, but some older style records may not be able to be played. its strange that they didnt include this when even the most basic and cheapest turntables support 74rpm - the old horrible Akai did.
