Background: when I get into bed I will flap around like a fish until I’m comfortable - I do NOT expect the blanket to fix this issue. Blanket also sits on top of my duvet.

First night I attempted my usual flap, hurt my arm trying to move close 7kg weight with one arm lying down. The blanket was over my head, as I like to sleep with my head covered with a little space for me to breath. Safe to say this was the worst idea I ever had! I grinded my teeth all night and woke up with neck pain. You could understand why, as I tried to choke myself all night with the blanket.

Next night I made sure the blanket rested over the shoulders and bellow and allowed my duvet to be the only thing that lay over my head. I flapped around Before I allowed the blanket to hug and hold me down, by leaving only the foot end covered with the blanket and then reached for it so I wouldn’t hurt my arm. Safe to say I slept like a baby.

Third night, I was genuinely excited for the weighted blanket. Slept so well and in a crooked position now I’ve got a back ache. The one thing I do appreciate about the blanket is the warmth and the fact that it will indicate all your sticky sore points as soon as the weight is on you. I know 100% this pain is from gym and from sleeping in a fertile position, with one leg doing what could only resemble a half fallen star pose.

I am waking up happier. And I am addicted to the feeling of the blanket as I sleep. I don’t know about the longevity of the blanket, as I’ve had it since Saturday night. But I do know that it’s beautiful and sewn really well and the size (king size) is mahoosive and fits my double bed like a dream and I can sit and wrap it around me and be all cosy. It’s soft and it’s genuinely beautiful. I am concerned about summer because I cannot sleep without a duvet, now I’m addicted to this blanket. I don’t know how much I could strip off so I can have both and not die from the heat. But I will find a way.

For the price and for the way it’s worked, I would highly recommend this for those of you have anxiety, stress and general unrest during their sleep. You just need to position it suitable for your body and the way you sleep, I’m sure if there was a guide, it would warn you not to allow the blanket over your head, maybe why so many of them are so small….

A weighted blanket has given me some of the best sleep Ive gotten for a while. The product is a good price aside from packaging and shipping fees which doubled the price. Its soft on both sides and with the size gotten it never slides off. Unlike other weighted blankets the stitching keeps the beads together so it doesnt roll around.
Not had the product for very long so this could change but for the moment still perfect.
Its warm enough without a duvet but still can be used with one.

This weighted blanket is so soft and comfortable. I'm quite skinny and slim and I got the single max weight, I did think at first it was a "bit much" in terms of weight, however when you get used to having it "hug" you for an extended period of time it is simply amazing. I actually sleep with just this over me and no duvet or anything, as strange as it may sound I think it does certainly aid in sleep. I dislike duvets. Correction - I hate duvets. Duvets came to squat in Britain in the sixties and the noble blanket has been homeless ever since. Duvets are unbearably light and inevitably drift off my body during the night. They do not keep me warm. One of the reason for this is that as the days go by they slip out of their cover and visit another region of the bed. Hence, you might as well just be covered by a thin sheet. This brings me to another annoying feature : putting on a fresh cover after washing. How comes the gap to put the duvet into is always miles smaller than the duvet? And then once you awkwardly get part of it in you have to force each part into a corner. Then follows the inevitable ‘duvet dance’ where you shake duvets and cover under the illusion that you are straightening it all out. But you are not finished. You then have to button up the ‘birth opening’ until the next time you wash the monstrosity in the undersized washing machine. The buttons or studs on the gap are sort of the wrong way round and have not taken well to washing - so they are difficult to close.

So, I discovered with delight, the weighted blanket from Amazon. It weighs 20lb and stays on me all night because it’s heavy. Because it stays on me, it keeps me warm. I love the weight and I may just get another one to go on top. I am not anxious or autistic- I just hate duvets. Come on guys- let’s start the blanket revolution

This thing is just great. You need to shake it occasionally as the beads tend to group on one side of the "pocket", but this thing is extremely warm and exceptionally comfortable. When you lay down it wraps around you really well, and warms up very quickly. Both sides are good, so you can flop it over if you don't like the "fur" side.
