The Philips Sonicare DiamondClean 9000 is an innovative sonic electric toothbrush that removes up to 10 x more plaque than a manual toothbrush for naturally whiter teeth. It is safe to use with braces, fillings, crowns and veneers, so you can brush without worry.

There are 4 brushing modes: Clean mode for daily cleaning, White+ for stain removal, Gum Health for gentle but effective cleaning of the gums and Deep Clean+ for a refreshing, thorough clean. There are also 3 intensity levels to choose from.

The built-in Philips Sonicare pressure sensor lets you know if you're pressing too hard − the handle will pulse slightly, telling you to brush more gently. The Advanced Sonic Technology provides gentle yet effective cleaning, pulsing fluid between teeth and along the gumline with a cleaning power of 62,000 bristle movements per minute.

The innovative BrushSync™ technology will let you know when it's time to change your brush head. To help you get used to the Sonicare experience, EasyStart adjusts the power level over the first 14 uses. Improve your brushing technique with QuadPacer and reach your recommended brushing time of 2 minutes with SmarTimer.

You can top up the power at home with the iconic charging glass. With regular use, the battery will last up to two weeks on a single charge (based on two periods of two-minute brushings per day on standard mode).

    These brushes are the most powerful electric toothbrushes I have come across. And I own two product form famous brands in the past and t hey dont come close. The handle of the brushes are very nice in matte colour, just feel like what an expensive product should have. There are two charger bases included, one in a cup form and one is a plastic dock, they both work great, just drop them in and they will beep and let you know they are being charged. The battery life is quite impressive for the power it has, it is still going over a week now using it twice a day. There are four modes: clean, white, gum health and deep clean. I could not notice the differences between the modes, I am guessing it is to do with the vibrating directions and frequency. The lights light up as you pick up the brush so you will be able to see which mode you are on in the dark which is very handy. The brush cleans very well, as you would expect. I like the normal toothbrush-like heads over a round heads. One thing I am not sure about is the two-pin plugs on the charger. I can understand this is for a low voltage toilet socket and safety reasons, but I dont have that socket and I dont think that is a common thing for UK domestic homes to have a two-pin socket in the toilet. I kept all my toiletry chargers outside of the toilet anyway. There is no 3-pin adaptors included, so I will have to dig out my travel adaptor to charge this. Would be nice to have that option included. Overall, these toothbrushes are not cheap but you do get what you paid for with Phillips in my experience.

      Finally update: I bought this and it was fine for the first nine months. Then it died. Amazon (eventually) got it repaired. Then it lasted another year and died again and they refused to repair it - the manufacturer because Amazon had already repaired. Amazon because by the time I had that response from the manufacturer it had reached 2 years from the date the order was placed (even though it was less than 2 years from delivery date to second breakdown). That really is rubbish on a £200 toothbrush. And the prior one I had lasted 2 years. So don't expect it to last even the length of your consumer rights, and expect both manufacturer and Amazon to be unhelpful about any problems.

      Originally I wrote the following review: Its an electric toothbrush, and it seems to work. So I'd say it is good enough but not wonderful.

      If you want a bit more detail: It has good battery life, and simple controls, and seems to have a good movement in terms of keeping my teeth feeling clean compared to the cheap brushes that just rotate. But whether the sonic element works or not, I can't really tell. The sonicare branded brush heads are ten times the cost of a toothbrush, and have a little chip to count uses to then bleep/flash annoyingly at you if you continue to use them for longer than a month, so I broke the little connector at the bottom of the brush head to stop that, and then bought non-brand heads which were much better value and seemed equally good quality. But obviously it is still creating lots of plastic waste. So if this is in your price range, and you aren't looking for something with better eco-credentials it seems alright. And based on my previous example works reliably for 2-3 years for two people, which seems adequate but isn't really enough to celebrate.

      9 months later I wrote the following update: It has done exactly what the predecessor did after 2 years - broken irreparably in exactly the same way. It feels loose at the head and makes a horrible noise, but no movement transfers to the brush to make it functional. After 9 months of light use, that's rubbish. I've now got to work out whether to go to Philips or Amazon to get it replaced.

      I've been using Philips Sonicare for a while now and there is a point where they do just stop working, either it be the battery/faulty/breaking... I'd say I get probably 2/3 years out of these handles and I still have one of the oldest ones floating around that's 5 years+ old that still works.

      I cannot dispute the performance of these electric toothbrushes and the easy of cleaning ones teeth :)

      As with any electric toothbrush, no need to scrub... let the handle/head do the job for you.

      I went with the Black and White this time round, the 2nd handle comes in handy for the GF when she goes home or I have to go away for work.

      Nothing much else to say about this, would be nice if they designed it so the battery was replaceable, so much waste in some instances.

      I’m a bit disappointed with the packaging and overall presentation. After seeing other reviews, I expected something colorful with clear pictures and instructions. Unfortunately, what I received had very unclear guidance on how to charge the device or even how to check the battery level. I had to resort to searching for extra videos online just to understand how to use it properly, which was frustrating.

      The most important issue is that this set doesn’t include travel cases, which I noticed are included in other sets. It feels like a significant omission, especially for something designed to be portable. Overall, the lack of thoughtful packaging and missing accessories underwhelmed this experience.

      The point of this review is to enhance the quality of the customer service. I really love the diamond toothbrush as I’ve been using it for more than 18 months now and I now visit the hygienist once a year instead of every quarter (gum recession).
      We bought a set of two diamond toothbrushes. And my handle became wobbly on two occasions. It was exchanged for a brand new one each time within a few days. The first time within 3 months of the purchase, and the second time after 18 months.
      No long conversations needed, just a box to tick and a sentence to explain the issue. That’s why I will stick to this brand.

      Cant recommend this set enough, within 3 days the stains on my teeth had disappeared, the white was white again, feels like a deep clean everytime too. Love the way it charges in the glass too. Definitely worth buying as you get two toothbrushes and two charges, 1 albeit is a normal charger but the glass is quirky. Don't hesitate, by far the best toothbrush I've ever owned.

      Senza nominare altri marchi nella recensione di un prodotto Philips, devo premettere che generalmente utilizzo gli spazzolini elettrici di un altro marchio famoso e concorrente e posso dire che mi trovo molto bene. I miei suoceri utilizzano invece i Philips Sonicare e per questo motivo abbiamo scelto di regalare loro questo pacchetto con doppio spazzolino elettrico e doppia base di ricarica.

      Precisamente, questo pacchetto che possiamo dire di fascia alta sia per il prezzo che per la qualità e la completezza della confezione, include, oltre ai due spazzolini elettrici DiamondClean 9000, uno di colore nero e l'altro color oro rosa, le due testine modello C3 Premium Plaque Defence, il bicchiere d'appoggio che può fungere anche da ricarica e le due vere e proprie basi di ricarica, una con fascia nera e l'altra con fascia oro.

      Il funzionamento è tutto sommato semplice, almeno dopo i primi giorni in cui si prende mano con la modalità di pulizia ultrasonica con testine che si muovono velocemente, ma in modo delicato, a simulare il movimento che si dovrebbe correttamente applicare anche con i classici spazzolini da denti manuali. Per la pulizia della bocca si può scegliere tra 4 diverse modalità chiamate Clean, White+, Gum Health, Deep Clean+ che servono rispettivamente la prima per la pulizia quotidiana dei denti, la seconda pensata per favorire lo sbiancamento dei denti, la terza per la pulizia delicata e dedicata alle gengive e l'ultima modalità per la pulizia profonda di tutta la bocca. Si possono selezionare tre intensità, dalla bassa alla media e infine all'alta frequenza.

      Il design degli spazzolini Sonicare è ergonomico ed antiscivolo, quindi adatto per essere utilizzato anche con mani bagnate o umide, tanto più che è completamente impermeabile per poter essere usato pure sotto la doccia. Consiglio sempre l'utilizzo delle testine Philips Sonicare originali in quanto è presente anche la funzione che avvisa quando è meglio sostituire le testine che varia a seconda del numero di utilizzi fatti. Come avviene anche per l'altro marchio che utilizzo di solito, anche qui le testine originali costano e la tentazione di prendere quelle non originali c'è, tuttavia la qualità è veramente completamente diversa e non rischieremo nemmeno di rovinare il corpo macchina dello spazzolino elettrico. Esattamente come per lo spazzolino elettrico dell'altro marchio, anche qui viene integrata una batteria agli ioni di lito e una ricarica completa dura fino a 14 giorni per 3 lavaggi al giorno senza alcun problema.

      Come per i modelli concorrenti delle ultime serie del famoso marchio concorrente, anche questi Philips Sonicare sono dotati di connessione Bluetooth per potersi collegare all'applicazione Philips Sonicare scaricabile gratuitamente dal Play Store per dispositivi Android e dall'App Store per dispositivi iOS. monitorare in tempo reale la pulizia dei denti con l'aggiunta di consigli personalizzati per la cura dentale e gengivale.

      Per la modalità di pulizia dei denti e del movimento delle testine degli spazzolini elettrici Sonicare trovo che sia pensato soprattutto per chi ha problemi di gengive sensibili. La modalità ultrasonica lascerebbe pensare ad una forza superiore dello spazzolino che potrebbe agire in modo troppo forte sui denti o sulle gengive, mentre invece è l'esatto opposto, la pulizia è realmente delicata e va bene anche per le persone più anziane o con problemi di sensibilità gengivale. Tra le varie funzioni è presente anche la funzione per il controllo della pressione in modo tale da non premere troppo su denti e gengive durante il lavaggio. Nel complesso mi sento di consigliare questo pacchetto da due spazzolini elettrici che contiene pure un bicchiere per la ricarica singola di uno spazzolino (due spazzolini insieme non possono essere ricaricati sulla stessa base di ricarica). Nel momento in cui scrivo questa recensione il costo è di 244 euro circa, mentre invece l'ho pagato circa 180 euro in sconto quando lo avevamo acquistato per regalarlo ai miei suoceri. Nel frattempo, dopo alcuni mesi dall'acquisto di questo pacchetto, qui su Amazon abbiamo anche già acquistato per loro due nuovi pacchetti di testine originali Philips Sonicare per sostituire quelle che erano già incluse nella confezione. Sul prodotto acquistato nuovo sono inclusi due anni di garanzia nel caso di difetti di fabbricazione. La garanzia può essere estesa da 2 a 3 anni anche per danni accidentali, ma per estenderla al momento dell'acquisto si deve ovviamente pagare un costo aggiuntivo che va da 8 a 10-11 euro (ed è una buona idea nel caso di acquisto per persone anziane, infatti può fare comodo perché se dovessero scivolare dalle mani e cadere rovinosamente per terra è possibile si possano rompere e in quel caso la garanzia contro i danni da fabbricazione non è applicabile).       Mucho dudé antes de comprar un cepillo eléctrico. Aún habiendo decidido hacerlo, desconfiaba de los cepillos sin rotación, pensando que la limpieza sin el movimiento giratorio no debía ser suficientemente profunda. Nada más lejos de la realidad. El modo deep clean, con la potencia máxima, me permite una limpieza que nunca imaginé y, desde luego, muy superior a cualquier cepillado manual, por intenso y duradero que sea. Sin embargo, es algo engorrosa la elección de los cabezales. Después de probar varios nos decantamos por el que traía inicialmente (C3). Por lo demás, es muy útil el aviso de cambio de cabezal y, realmente, no es mucho más caro que los cepillos normales que tenía que cambiar mensualmente, ya que los cabezales vienen a durar unos tres meses. También encuentro práctico el aviso de presión excesiva. Por el contrario, la conexión bluetooth me parece una inutilidad y, después de probarla, no la hemos vuelto a utilizar: No deja de ser un mero registro de control de cepillados, sin aportar nada interesante. Tampoco encuentro práctica la micro-parada que avisa del cambio de sector y arcada, de hecho me gustaría desactivarla, lo que, creo, no es posible. En conjunto estoy muy satisfecho con el producto. Por cierto, la compra del dúo, para una pareja, es notablemente más económica que la doble compra individual.

      Always I believe in oscillating toothbrush as it obviously makes force to clean. 2years later I decided to change and give ultrasonic a chance to try. , despite I was hesitant as I imagined that vibrating brush will not creat that much of force to clean.
      After one week of usage this brush, I am really satisfied and happy with performance of this brush.
      It is way better than my old oscillating brush.
      I definitely recommend it.
