      We've had a Tado system in our house for 8-9 years, but for one reason or another it's been a single smart TRV and a wireless thermostat arrangement. It's only recently I learned about the basic version of their TRV, which eschews some functionality of the more expensive model for cost savings.

      These models are basic - they don't support the air comfort features etc - and don't have the same digital display on the unit itself. But considering how fit and forget TRVs are supposed to be, paying extra for a visual feature seems superfluous, and the air comfort features are nice to have but by no means essential.

      The basic TRVs arrived as expected - bare bones with a few fitting adaptors for different kinds of radiators. I assumed in advance that the fitting I needed wouldn't be included, and I was correct. Even if an included adaptor works for you, they're made of plastic so might not standup to long term use. As it is, adaptors that I need run to about £10 - though made of metal - but it's worth noting the extra cost per unit.

      That aside - everything worked as planned. I'm very used to the Tado system, so appreciate that some calibration is often needed to get the TRV to reflect a more accurate room temp than what it's picking up next to the actual radiator - but it's easy enough to do with the phone app.

      I can't find any fault with them - five stars all round.

      I have Tado thermostats on all radiators in my house and am very satisfied with the performance. Initially, I wasn't happy with the temperature control in some rooms but, as others have noted, I found that this was caused by vertical valve installations which allowed the sensor head to detect direct radiated heat from the radiator. After refitting the valves so that the Tado sensor was horizontal and pointing away from the radiator, everything worked perfectly. The app also works well and it is very easy to set temperatures, schedules, etc. for individual rooms. A bit pricey but highly recommended.

      Je possède une vanne thermostatique Tado depuis 2018. J'en suis tellement satisfait que j'ai progressivement remplacé toutes mes vannes thermostatiques par des vannes Tado. Elles sont très faciles à installer, de très bonne qualité, les piles durent assez longtemps (environ 1 an demi à 2 ans), et sont très précises dans leur mesure de la température. L'application associée est leur grand atout, car elle permet beaucoup de paramètres et la possibilité de faire un planning précis pièce par pièce. Je recommande chaudement (vous l'avez ?)

      Abbiamo installato il tado kit base al posto di un vecchio termostato nella zona notte ed una valvola in ciascun termosofone (in tutto 6 per 5 stanze). ogni termosifone può avere una programmazione autonoma (fasce orarie, temperatura), che può essere facilmente gestita tramite un'app, scaricabile e gestibile da più utenti. è fantastico, ogni stanza gode di un proprio clima, con evidenti vantaggi, in quanto posso verificare in ogni momento se qualcuno ha dimenticato il riscaldamento acceso, rileva le finestre aperte, è gestibile con comandi vocali da Alexa. L'app offre la possibilità di monitorare i consumi e di rilevare gli utenti grazie alla geolocalizzazione. L'installazione è stata veramente facile e non abbiamo incontrato alcuna difficoltà, è sufficiente seguire le istruzioni.
