      I bought these water-resistant, Active Noise cancelling (ANC), 5.3 Bluetooth wireless earphones primarily for going to the gym, both on the walk there and back as well as the gym session itself. For my exercise routine I like to be in my own zone, so good ANC is important. I had invested in some Sony WF-1000XM5 earphones since they were supposed to be the best ANC you can buy. Unfortunately, I found them to be sadly not that good. I went through 2 pairs, and both were just as unimpressive. Hence, I bought these much more reasonably priced earphones at a fifth of the price hoping that they would be ok. What I found was quite revealing.

      Sony’s ANC seems to work by boosting the bass, which affects your listening experience. These give the same good quality sound even with ANC on. That is not that these have the best ANC that I have experienced, but it is much better than the Sony’s, which is supposed to be market leading. To get the most out of either set of earphones, they need to be used with the manufacturer’s App. Sony’s seemed to be trying to be technically clever, whilst Tozo’s seems to focus on what on would be useful, ending up being more practical and user friendly. You can use either App to control EQ settings and ANC, Toso’s App allowed you to customise the EQ setting better, but the Sony App had some extra bells and whistles that I personally found annoying. The Sony XM5’s are IPX4 rated, barely sweat resistant, whilst these are a much more reassuring and useful rating of IPX6. Therefore, these Tozo earphones suit my needs well and better than the Sony XM5s, which they have replaced, and for under £40, they are excellent value.

      Tozo NC9 Active Noise Cancellation Earbuds, the best on the market in my honest opinion.
      If you are looking to buy earbuds, look no further. These Noise cancelling buds with the Tozo app, controls the whole earbud, its a whole new experience for me. The app gives you the ability to change the sound of the bud to suit your ear. The bass is fantastic, the control over the bud is the best I've had.
      The TOZO app, obtained from the Google store, gives you the ability to change the whole bud EQ setting. There are pre-sets from other users or you can set your own.
      The buds come with three ear pads, to suit all sizes and once in your ear fits snug and comfortable. You can forget you have them in as away you go.
      I have used these buds for 5 hours on a full charge and they were still going strong, with plenty of life in them. The new size case has an indicator showing how much charge is in it. The buds charge quickly and soon ready for use. The sound quality with the deep sounding base and great voice makes this earbud number 1 for me. This is the third TOZO bud and replaces an older model NC9, you can certainly see and hear the difference, the older TOZO bud, went walkabout and was no longer any use.
      After reading the reviews I purchased another NC9, which was described as new, updated and better than the older model, which was good in any event. I wasn't disappointed, well boxed with all the instructions in leaflet form or do what I did download the app and go straight to setting up your own bud.
      The bud connects to all my Bluetooth devices inc iphone and Sony TV, it makes gaming a whole new experience for me. So far I cannot fault the Tozo NC9 Noise cancelling earbuds, the noise cancelling works when you want it to, switch to another setting and you can pick up the ambient sounds around you. I cannot praise these buds any higher, they are worth every penny, read the reviews, decide for yourself, but buy them, you too wont be disappointed. DB

      I've had these for 4 months now and at first they were great but I have too many issues as time went on.

      The noise cancellation - If you're on a train and another one passes by, you get a horrible thudding noise. It's like a feedback issue?

      One earphone just keeps going very silent. Sometimes when I am on the treadmill, one will either cut out or both will lower the volume.

      If you have them in your ears and the music stops, they regularly remind you via a voice "connected". Which is frustrating if you just want them in to block outside noise out.

      So a very low rating from me. Just spend the money and go with something more quality.

      Update: Again, TOZO customer service is excellent and responds to any issues quickly and positively. They replaced the charger case with a new one where the charger lid pin problem appears to be corrected and should not be an issue for anyone buying their product now.

      For battery life, I use these ear buds 1-3 hours a day every day and only need to hook up the charger case to recharge it about once every 13-15 days. Very pleased with the battery life.

      I got these TOZO NC9's because my Cowin over-the-ear noise cancelling headphones (which I really liked) started having problems after 4.5 years of use and pretty extensive traveling with them.

      This is the first set of wireless earbuds that I have owned (although I have listened to my friends' Apple and other earbuds also) I have to say that I really love, Love, LOVE these noise-cancelling ear buds! I appear to have pretty average/standard ears as the buds fit very nicely and securely in my ears and I'm using the default ear tips. As they come with six different sized eartips, there is probably one set of tips that will work for you (or you might even want to use a different sized one in each ear if your ear canals are exactly symmetric).

      The sound from whatever device you're connected to is very rich and clear, and you can easily pick out little background noises and stereo motion cues with these earbuds that you often can't pick out when listening to your TV's or tablet's speakers. Both Bass and Treble are great--every bit as good as Apple ear buds but for quite a lot less money! No sense giving your money over to Apple executives' bonuses and shareholder dividends when you can get a great non-Apple product for considerably less and keep that extra cash for yourself!

      The controls take a little bit of getting used to them, as some commands are done on the left bud and others on the right bud and initially I was getting them swapped or tapping once when I needed to tap twice. But, the buds 'talk' to you, letting you know the noise-cancelling mode that you just switched to, so if you did the wrong command, you can quickly correct it and then do the command you originally intended to do. Once you've used the buds a couple times, the commands fall into place.

      My primary purpose for these earbuds is for travel on planes and trains, so the noise cancelling aspect is important to me. I haven't been able to test them out on a plane or train yet, so I did something a little more demanding: I wore them while mowing the lawn for over an hour. I normally wear ear plugs while mowing the lawn, but it turns out that these earbuds with noise cancellation turned on do a much superior job to my ear plugs--plus I can listen to music, podcasts, radio, books-on-tap, or whatever while I'm mowing and can hear it all very clearly and easily with the mower noise muted in the background. I have also been using the earbuds to stream video while I'm using my (noisy) stationary bike, and appreciate the noise cancellation and clarity of the sound while I'm exercising--it certainly makes the time go faster and more enjoyable with the clear sound versus using my Fire tablet's external speakers while they compete with the noise from the bike (and no more need to have captions on or have to jump back 10 seconds because I missed some important dialog)!

      I have connected these buds with a Fire tablet, Samsung Smart TV, Samsung S20 phone, and Dell XPS laptop. All these devices connected easily and without problem, did not drop the connection (unless I walked out of range, but if I got back in range within several seconds, the connection picked right back up), the sound only glitched occasionally when I was at the edge of range (but still better performance than I expected and certainly better than my Corwin headphones). I also made phone calls with these TOZO earbuds, and they work really well--most people did not even notice when I switched to the earbuds in the middle of the call.

      I haven't timed the battery life yet, but it definitely outlasts the battery on my Fire tablet while streaming movies, and the charging case tops off the earbuds whenever you put them back into the case. The case has battery level lights on it, so you also know about how much charge is left in the case before you need to charge the case up again. I've had the buds for about 3 weeks now, and have been using them 12 hrs/wk and will probably need to plug the charging case in for the first time this coming weekend.

      I haven't tried out the waterproof feature yet, maybe when summer rolls around...

      I've only experienced one small problem, and that was with the charging case. The little pins holding in the hinge for holding on the lid started working their way out, and I did not notice this until the lid came off and it was too late/too hard to push the pins back in. So, you might want to check out the charging case hinge and see if the pins on yours have shifted--if so, you can probably get something like a toothpick, fork tine, or a eyeglass screw driver and slide it back in really easily. It's unlikely that in normal use the pins would start to come out a second time. TOZO customer service was immediately responsive and has helped me out with this issue.

      Lastly, I like their selection of colors--so much more interesting than just white or black.
