I bought this to replace one of my previous robot vacuums that I’ve had for 5 years. I changed the layout of my house and the previous one struggled with thin rugs and new furniture. I was thinking of getting an all singing and dancing machine but this one was such good value and had clever mapping and it wiped the floors as well. I figured there wasn’t a great deal to lose by trying it.
I have to say I’m very impressed. It feels very well made and so far it’s been brilliant. It gets itself out of sticky corners and floppy rugs, it finds it way home very quickly and it vacuums very well. It’s so thorough that I’ll have to do the house over two days as it doesn’t have enough capacity to do it all at once but that’s not a criticism. Still testing the mop function but it seems reasonably effective.
The instructions aren’t great but once you get it going and experiment it’s actually easy to programme and mostly sorts itself out. I was going to say it’s brilliant for the money but actually it’s brilliant full stop.
