    Hair Straightener just arrived and I have put it to the test. It is excellent! I cannot believe how good it is for straightening my hair in comparison to my GHD which I always brought with me on my travels. It is very small and because of this you would think that it couldn't be any good. It heated up very fast and is so compact. My hair length is just below my ear and I have a good amount of hair. I cannot comment on curling ability as I just need it to straighten my hair. It will definitely be replacing my GHD when I go on holidays. Definitely a good buy.

    I have short hair so the larger straighteners are no good for me. Too bulky.
    These smaller types are much better for short hair. The blade width makes it much easier to style.
    The blade length on this styler is a fraction shorter than the main competitor Babyliss Nano, which you may think doesn't matter, but it means that when you hold the handle on this styler, your fingers have to be directly on the on/off slider and this makes it too easy to switch it off during styling.
    The slightly longer handle on the Babyliss Nano means you can position the fingers further down and avoid switching off by mistake.

    The heat on these level is spot on.
    The build quality is good.
    The straighteners are easy to handle, and their compact size makes them ideal for travel.
    They function well and are a good alternative to the other brand I compared them to.
    The glove is a nice addition but not very good quality and the fingers are too long.
    Maybe if it had shorter fingers and was made from a good quality stretch fabric it would be better.
    Overall these are good but let themselves down by making it too easy to inadvertantly switch off during styling.

    I took a picture of it next to my full size flat iron, it is VERY small.

    I have A LOT of hair, after I shower and blow dry, my hair is huge and it is textured (Mexican wavy).

    I was able to get it all ironed out by; 1st) clipping up 2/3rds and ironing the underside. 2nd) Then I dropped the middle section and ironed it and 3) Finally, I dropped the last section (the top of my hair) and ironed it.

    It took me about double the amount of time it takes with my full size iron, but again, I have a lot of hair.

    If you have thinner hair this unit will probably work just fine for you. If you have a lot of hair, it should work but it will take more time because the sections you can iron have to be smaller.

    It is so small, if you have large hands it may be cumbersome. I did not have any issues with accidentally turning it off while holding it though.

    It has a lock feature on the end where the cord comes out. You can hold the iron shut and then pull the lock out to lock it shut.

    I didn’t like that it won’t stand up. It falls on its side so I will definitely have to have put something under it. In my picture you can see that I use a dollar tree hot pad with my full size iron.

    I am going to keep the mini iron but will definitely only use it for occasional travel.
