This PCCOOLER 120mm PWM fan arrived exactly as pictured within the product listing, inside a fairly simple box containing several accessories.

The build quality of the fan is fairly average. It feels fairly chunky and solid, but the weight doesn't seem to have any noticeable impact on performance.

The installation of the fan is relatively straightforward as you would expect. I didn't experience any issues fitting it to the case of my system.

During operation, the fan is relatively silent when running at a lower RPM, however when using the included fan speed controller it does become somewhat noisy.

Overall, it's a relatively average 120mm PWM fan, but I'm not too sure why you would pick this particular fan over others that are currently available by other manufacturers. It doesn't really have any unique qualities or features that make it stand out from competing products.

120mm Case Fan. The fan came in a well-presented box suitable for using as a gift. Good instructions with plenty of illustrations were supplied. The fan was substantially made and looked good. Also supplied was a fan speed controller. It was difficult to read the controller switch positions on the box but there is a nice diagram on the Amazon site. Although unable to test in situ, I was able to run using a 4 Pin PWM fan controller. The fan run quietly in the silent mode and it was still acceptable to me at full speed. Temperature control worked as it should. A good fan at a reasonable price.

I was pleased to have the opportunity to try out this PCCOOLER 120mm PWM Case Fan. Over the years since the 1980s, I have built perhaps 30 or more PCs from individually selected components for myself and my family, and the need for effective cooling fans seems to increase each time! Also, having greater controllability of the fans has become so important given the huge variations in heat output from low workloads to high workloads.

For the past 5 years, Noctua fans have been my choice, backed up by Arctic fans, so trying a PCCOOLER fan instead was of great interest.

In terms of first impressions, it comes in well-presented packaging and looks like a high-quality product. It makes me think that the manufacturer is targeting the higher-end Noctua fans at a far lower cost.

I'm pleased it has no gimmicky RGB (sorry if you like RGB!), just a high-quality controllable fan. I fortunately tried it on a high-end motherboard with loads of PWM headers. Initially, I was struck by how short the PWM cable was, but PCCOOLER provides an extender (which has the operational mode control) so if you are installing this fan very near a motherboard header or have a splitter, it is useful to not have unneeded length of cable to tidy in your install. They offer the flexibility to use it outside of PWM operation (which I didn’t try) because, for me, PWM is always the way to go to have the controllability and potential to maximise quietness when your computer is not acting as a room heater!

It performed very well with a wide range of airflow, and the integrated rubber pads in each corner work well to keep vibration noise, if there is any, at bay. At low speed, I can’t hear it but can still feel the airflow.

Pricewise, this is not a low-cost fan. It is certainly not a top-tier price either, but it is squarely in the mix of some better-known brands, including the budget fans from Noctua. I would not hesitate to consider this in place of any other brands. In fact, I would put it ahead of some I use and on par with the higher-end fans I use. I can confidently add PCCOOLER as another manufacturer of great fans.

The PCCOOLER 120mm Case Fan, F5 R120 PWM 4-Pin FDB PC Fan 2200 RPM fan is an excellent replacement fan. It is easy to install and it is suitable for any position/location. I think it is at its best when installed in the bottom or towards the back as a case fan to suck the heat out of my desktop. The product description says that it is suitable to use as a CPU fan or water cooling radiator fan however although I do have a Corsair water cooling radiator, I have a couple of 140mm fans attached to the radiator so I don't think I would replace them with a 120mm fan. But as said, tried it both as a Case fan in the back and in the bottom proves useful. The noise level is surprisingly low and only when using it I realised how much my Case fan that I replaced with this fan was producing noise. I was not aware of the PCCOOLER TBH however I am happy with them.

From the excellent packaging, quality, noise levels, speed and performance to the price point which is somewhat sits in the middle of these types of fans, I find this fan to be an excellent purchase. I will try to get another pair to replace my front panel fans as although the present ones are LED, I think LED part is a bit gimmicky and using a solid non-LED fan like this would be much better instead. Overall a great replacement fan well worth your attention. Thumbs Up!

Questa ventola mi ha risolto un annoso problema di ventilazione di un PC che andava in ebollizione, ma soprattutto è diventato finalmente silenzioso dopo aver sostituito due vecchie ventole rumorose. Il PCCOOLER F5 R120 è prodotto da un’azienda specializzata nei sistemi di raffreddamento e vanta un controllo PWM in grado di generare una rotazione da 500 a 2.100 giri al minuto con appena 120 centimetri di diametro. È progettato per i computer che necessitano di raffreddamento ad aria, ma si adatta anche a quelli che utilizzano i refrigeratori liquidi AIO.

Com’è noto, il controllo PWM è una tecnica di controllo digitale che consente di regolare la tensione evitando l’uso di reostati e potenziometri. Tecnicamente è un segnale in grado di regolare la tensione in uscita a partire da una sorgente in corrente continua limitando la potenza dissipata dal sistema elettrico. Ne consegue che il valore PWM della F5 R120 è ottimizzato per funzionare con una corrente inferiore alla sua capacità nominale, a differenza di altre ventole che per avviarsi hanno bisogno di determinati picchi di potenza.

La F5 R120 si presenta in un’elegante confezione con apertura a velcro ed è corredata da un cavetto di collegamento supplementare per adattarsi alla piedinatura a 4 PIN della scheda madre. Si monta facilmente sul CASE del PC facendo aderire gli spigoli gommati al telaio. Non necessita di alcun driver e può essere pilotata da BIOS, da sistema operativo e da software di terze parti. Per le prove ho fatto uso di un alimentatore stabilizzato per concentrarmi essenzialmente sulla silenziosità del prodotto evitando eventuali rumori sviluppati dal PC. Come si evince dal video, la ventola ha bisogno di soli 3 Volt per avviarsi, a 5 e a 7 Volt il rumore è praticamente assente, mentre a 12 Volt si inizia a percepire solo il suono del vento.

Nel complesso posso ritenermi soddisfatto del prodotto, sia per la resa che per la convenienza del prezzo. Se desiderate una ventola silenziosa che raffreddi efficacemente e possa essere collegata in cascata con quelle già presenti nel vostro computer da Gaming, allora la PCCOOLER F5 R120 fa decisamente al caso vostro.

Utilisé pour un projet DIY il est parfaitement silencieux, il servira à ventiler une boite de chauffe, en vitesse minimale ca reste très correct. On sent le soin apporté au produit, en vitesse maximale ça commence a faire un peu de bruit mais on ne peux pas empêcher le bruit du vent : )

Bereits die Verpackung des Lüfters macht schon einen Premiumeindruck mit Sichtfenster und Klettverschluss. Entsprechend üppig fällt auch das Zubehör aus, neben vier schwarz lackierten Schrauben, gibt es noch einen Fancontroller. Dieser dient in der mittleren Einstellung auch als Verlängerung für das sehr kurze Anschlusskabel (nur etwa 10cm). Zusätzlich kann der Fan Controller auch mit anderen Lüftern verwendet werden.

Der Lüfter selbst hat Gummipads vormontiert und ist verhältnismäßig schwer. Zusätzlich fällt bereits vor der Montage der geringe Abstand zwischen Lüfterrad und Rahmen auf (unter 1mm) und die exzellente Verarbeitung. Er wirkt ähnlich zu den bekannten Noctua Lüftern. Kleine Details wie die Pfeile für die Laufrichtung und Airflow im passenden Design runden das Gesamtbild ab.

Nach der Montage ist mir aufgefallen das sehr wenig Vibrationen an das Gehäuse übertragen werden. Auch ist der Rundlauf des Lüfters exzellent, mit dem Auge sind keine Unwuchten ausmachbar. PWM-Ticken oder Geräusche bei bestimmten Drehzahlen habe ich nicht bemerkt. Von der Flügelform würde ich diesen Lüfter allerdings vornehmlich als Gehäuselüfter Einsetzen und nicht zwingend auf Radiatoren.

Verglichen mit den weit verbreiteten Arctic Lüfter, ist dieser Lüfter in allen Aspekten ein Upgrade. Der Luftstrom ist zwar nur leicht Stärke, so dass ich nicht von einem Signifikanten unterschied ausgehe, aber bezüglich Lautstärke und Laufruhe hat der CPS PCCooler deutlich die Nase vorn. Aus meiner Sicht lohnt sich hier ein Upgrade.

Gesamt ein überzeugender und Laufruhiger Lüfter, nur das Anschlusskabel dürfte etwas länger sein.

Este ventilador de refrigeración para PC parece ser una opción robusta y eficiente para quienes necesitan mantener sus equipos a una temperatura adecuada.

Una de las características más llamativas es la gestión de cables, que permite conectar varios dispositivos de manera secuencial mediante una Y que trae. Esto no solo ayuda a reducir el desorden, sino que también simplifica enormemente la gestión de cables en el interior del equipo. Además, el diseño de color sólido y la ausencia de luces RGB son ideales para quienes prefieren un aspecto más sobrio y menos llamativo en su montaje.

Por otro lado, los tres modos de refrigeración funcionan muy bien, y obviamente a mas potencia mas ruido, pero... nada destacable, diría que casi inaudible.
