  • We suggest going up a size if you wear a half-size or an in-between size (e.g. men's 7.5, 9.5, 10.5). To find your best fitting size, please refer to our size chart which can be found by clicking the size chart link next to the size selection menu.

  • All RockDove slippers are made machine washable. We recommend washing in cold water, gentle cycle and air drying.

  • Please use this simple conversion rule: add 1 to the men's size to get the ladies' size. For example, the men's size 8/9 is the same length as the ladies' size 9/10, but slightly wider. We also recommend the RockDove Ladies' Two-Tone Slipper.

Had these for the last 6 months. The quality of the uppers seems good and is comfortable, but the sizing of these slippers is way off. I've taken a UK 11 in shoes for the past 35 years, and I buy a lot of my shoes online and have never had an issue with size, but even though these say UK 10/11 on the sole, they're absolutely swimming on me. Not just the width, but the length too - my heel doesn't catch on the lip at the back at all, so they flip and flop like a politician at election time. The other thing is that I find the sole has very little grip on tiled or varnished wooden floors. I bought these for quick trips to the bins or out the garden, and if it's wet out, I have to be careful walking back into the house. I'm actually finding that I'm just putting on my shoes to go out and do these chores, even though the slippers are just sitting by the door.

    The first thing to say about these slippers is that they look great, are supple and have proven to be quite durable - the soles not 'marking up' or cracking when used to brief walks to the garage and back or down the garden and back.

    Initially they fit snugly onto the foot and I would also say that it is true that the 'open backed' design does help prevent your feet from sweating as much as with normal slippers.

    The problem starts for me though with the memory foam. On the plus side of things the memory foam does 'have a good memory' and after you have worn these a few times the foam does seem to form itself into a permanent 'mould' of your foot/feet. This is all very well but by doing this it means that the foam in effect 'shrinks in size' somewhat. Slippers that initially fit snuggly therefore become a bit more 'roomy' inside and the snag with that being that with no proper back to these slippers unless your foot fits tightly into the slipper they have a tendency to 'flop about' when walking in them.

    Another issue I have found associated with these slippers is to do with the way that wearing socks (as most people who comes home from work do) also stretches the body of the slippers as well and thus magnifies the 'memory foam' issue.

    To be fair, I wouldn't say that either of these issues are a big problem but if you are not too good on your feet or have poor mobility walking down stairs (not so much going up because the weight of your whole foot is pressing against the inside of the slipper) can be a little more tricky because you need to make sure that your foot does not come out.

    Because I have had this issue myself I have also found that the 'slipping' has gradually broken down the back of the slipper so that the 'ridge' that initally helped to hold your foot in place relatively snugly has been made redundant.

    On the upside I have not had any of the usual problems you get with 'competitively priced' slippers. By that I mean the memory foam and covering of it is still in one piece and has not come 'unglued' (not applicable here anyway I don't think as these are stitched) or 'rucked up'. The lining of the slippers has stained a little but then I have not gotten around yet to washing my pair so that may well rectify itself when I do.

    As far as washing them goes I don't see a problem. As these are stitched together and of a flexible nature I am sure that they will handle a spin in the washing machine o.k. and dry out to be as good as ever.

    Overall, while I have a few reservations and feel the design of these could be improved, I have kept to a 4 star rating because I feel most people will probably be delighted with these. The insides are nice and soft and I can see them being fairly durable - so they are good value on that front. My one main issue is with how mine have stretched and as a result can be now on occasion 'slip up and down' a bit.

    Not bad. You get what you pay for. I've had these for a few months now and the memory foam has lost most of its bounce but they are still quite comfy!

    Go for a size that will be tight because the foam does collapse quite quickly, so you end up with extra space and your foot moves forward. Buying the slipper where your heel is virtually resting on the back edge means that you quickly end up with a slippers that fits great.

    All in all, it's a great cheap slipper but I'm not sure about longevity!

    After a slightly confused wasp crawled across my foot while I was using the restroom, and then finding a few more on different mornings meandering threateningly around the floor of my new home, two things became very clear. I needed to call an exterminator, and I needed to get some comfortable foot protection or I would never feel relaxed. Sure, I could wake up every day, lace up my Docs, and tromp around thoughtlessly smushing the little buggers until bed time, but that sounded like a hassle.

    The reviews on these seemed pretty solid, so I pulled the trigger. And called the exterminator.

    Couldn’t be happier. They’re super comfortable, fit right, and let me shuffle around the house without worry of surprise wasp stings.

    They’re kinda stylish too. Went with the grey/blue combo and am happy to report I haven’t gotten any funny looks when answering the door. They almost look like slip on walking shoes. Sketchers for staying in. The exterminator didn’t even notice I wasn’t wearing standard kicks.

    They are pretty warm, which is a bonus right now (mid-February), but might be an issue when the sun comes back.

    They seem solid enough to wear outside for things like checking the mail, but I haven’t tested that theory yet since I’d like to keep these clean and spiffy. Also they may protect from stepping on a wasp stinger, but I don’t think I’d tangle with a snake or bobcat while wearing these. Probably not suited for yard work either, but one can dream.

    A note on fit: I’ve seen some complaints here about sizing being too small. The slippers came with a note about breaking them in. When I first put them on they did feel pretty snug. Heel was in danger of falling out the back. I wore them for a couple days and everything relaxed. I’ve had them for a few weeks now and they’re amazing. Not too loose, and not too snug. I forget I have them on while conked out in the recliner. Love em.
