      Good laser measuring tool. Could probably do with a spirit level in it for when you're trying to judge a distance without something to rest it on but works perfectly well. Let's you adjust whether the measurement should account for the length of the box or just count from the from of it so makes things as simple as possible really, can't fault it.

      What an amazing bit of kit this is, I keep finding things to do with it and it seems surprisingly accurate over longer distances. The display is nice and clear and battery lasts for ages, I haven't used the angle thing yet but I am sure I will. Get one even if you don't need it now you will at some point.

      I tested this against a German manufactured laser measure and a fixed length wooden ruler.
      The display goes to 3 decimal places which is way beyond anything a handheld measure can be accurately held. The accuracy is outstanding.

      What I was most excited about was the inbuilt pythagorus function so it can measure the height of a structure even if you cannot position yourself under it or have an appropriate target spot.

      What I was least excited about was the unintuitive control system. Until you get used to it everything is a bit haphazard as to what the measure is doing. I frequently found myself measuring when I thought it was off and vice versa. Having said that after ten minutes or so it begins to make sense but intuitive it isn't. The most obvious the On/Off switch which is only an Off button, the on button is the green laser button.

      The measure has a pair of inbuilt spirit levels but these are enclosed in black plastic, unlit and really small, so useless as a major omission is the absence of a tripod screw socket.

      Despite the laser spot being quite small it is generally visible in daylight. You need charged batteries to use this measure. The dots brightness rapidly dips after a few minutes of use.
