Screwdriver required for assembly (Short handled needed for two of the cam locks)

Assembly time - Approximately 3 hours.

The cabinet arrives flatpacked and the packing is well protected from damage. I checked the packing list and all parts were there and in good order.
The pictorial assembly guide is easy to follow and taking my time the entire unit was assembled in a little over 3 hours - I used the packing sheets as a soft surface to work on, avoiding any damage during assembly.
Once assembled the unit is solid and looks good but I did have a couple of problems along the way.
The unit does come with buit in power sockets and USB ports making it very practical and the plug for the sockets is a reasonable length.
The led strip can be controlled by the button on the cable but to access all the features an App called Lotus lantern is needed this can be found on Google play store and the Apple shop. It isn't very large and provides more flexibility when using the lights with a variety of options such as scheduling timers and reactive lighting.

Problems
I had 2 problems whilst aasembling this - one my fault the second a design issue.
The first problem (my fault) was whilst fitting the middle drawer to the unit - it wouldn't close properly past the perspex pane - this was because it is not a drawer but a slide out shelf - I was trying to fit it upside down. Once corrected it fitted nicely.
The second problem (design fault in my opinion ) was the LED strip - when fitted as per the instructions it did not illuminate the lower drawer with the perspex panel. The listing pictures showed both sections illuminated and for me that was the look I wanted.
I tried the LED strip in the bottom and also the middle of the unit (see labelled pictures) and in my opinion the middle option is the best. The issue with that postion in that the screws would go through the backbord. However the LED strip does have a sticky backing so i peeled that off and fixed the LED strip that way - so far so good but I think I will also need to use the clips depending on the efiiciency of the sticky strip.

Overall

LED strip issues aside (reason for 4 not 5 stars) I think this cabinet is reasonably priced (jan 2025 - Discount voucher avaiable) and the end product looks good. I would have liked to have seen a USB socket on the underside of the power unit to tidy up the LED wiring and also a black cable for the led strip as the white cable used does look a little out of place.

This is a great idea as a bedside table and I was really excited to get it. The plugs and USB is a great idea on top the plug could do with being longer to plug it in for your light to work as well as the plug sockets look a little bit cheap on the top as well Two drawers pre-drill holes are not in the right place so you can’t put the plastic on bottom drawer you have to just can’t be added and they’re not very straight little bit out of line the drawers once in thought we’ve done them wrong book the whole page so there’s nothing else we could’ve donereally great. I could do with a few tweets to make it perfect

This is a Modern and Practical Nightstand! I'm very happy with my new YITAHOME 2-Drawer Bedside Table. The sleek black finish and tempered glass top give it a modern, upscale look that perfectly complements my bedroom décor.

The two drawers offer plenty of space for books, remotes, and other bedside essentials. I especially love the integrated 7- colour LED light strip – it adds a great ambient light and is easily adjustable to match my mood. Assembly was relatively straightforward, although I did find the drawer slides a little tricky to install. My only minor complaint is that the drawers could be a bit deeper. Overall I am happy with the unit, it feels very solid and for flat pack I would say it’s on the higher quality end. I’m not happy with how the drawers seem to fit however as I’m sure I fit them according to the instructions but there’s an overlap that shouldn’t be there as per the picture so I’m tempted to remove the clear plastic detailing to resolve this. I think the plug feature is a very good addition but the appearance of them does make me feel a bit wary as to the quality and safety in all honesty. Overall though it’s a very nicely designed unit with good features and were actually using ours as storage space in the lounge as it is ideal for use as more than just a bedside cabinet.
