Outdated measurements add clutter
When I got this, I was mostly interested the cutting board and straight cutter, with the other bits just being extras. The mat is very firm and is reversible. It's firmness makes my cutting feel more accurate. One side is purely in metric measurements while the other has an emphasis on imperial dimensions with an occasional bit in metric measurements. The cutter itself includes multiple blades, mostly straight ones with a single dashed line blade. When the blades are not in use, they come in a rigid protective case. The cutter has a simple blade guard for when it is not in use, where you push a button and covers surround the blade. When you're ready to cut again, just pull the guard button up. There are a couple of acrylic ruler/protractors which are functionally good, but marked only in inches. The tape measure is double sided with one side metric and the other imperial. This is limited to A3 in size but that is reasonable for a lot of small tasks. Most modern clothes patterns are published with metric dimensions. It's a real pity that the ruler/protractor pieces are only marked in inches, when most of the world including the UK works in cm.
